A smile makeover using dental veneers is an option for patients looking to alter the appearance of their teeth. Veneers are thin shells placed over the front of the teeth to change their color, shape, size, or length.

What Veneers Are, and the Types We Offer
A veneer covers only the front surface of a tooth. It is not a crown, which wraps the whole tooth, so veneers are used mainly for how a tooth looks rather than to rebuild a broken one.
We work with four veneer materials: composite, zirconia-reinforced composite, Emax porcelain and porcelain fused to zirconia. Emax is lithium disilicate ceramic, an ultra-thin, high-strength porcelain known for durability and lifelike translucency, and because it is strong even when thin it needs only minimal removal of natural tooth structure. Veneers are also either direct, built onto the tooth in the clinic, or indirect, custom-crafted in a dental lab. The difference is in the FAQs below, and which one fits your teeth is decided at your assessment.

Veneers change the surface you see. They do not treat decay, gum disease or a bite problem, and where any of those is present it is dealt with first.
Suitability
Who may be suitable
Individuals with healthy teeth and gums who wish to change the aesthetic appearance of their smile.
Who may not be suitable
Patients with active gum disease, severe tooth decay, inadequate enamel, or those who severely grind their teeth (bruxism). Suitability requires an in-person clinical assessment.
Being unsuitable today does not always mean unsuitable. Gum treatment, a filling or orthodontic movement first can change the picture, and sometimes another treatment is the better fit.
The Process
- Consultation. A clinical assessment to discuss your goals and evaluate your oral health. Photos, X-rays or digital scans may be taken.
- Planning. You receive a personalized treatment plan covering the recommended number of veneers, material options and the schedule of visits. For treatments that use Digital Smile Design, your dentist may be able to show you a digital preview as part of treatment planning. A preview is a plan, not a guarantee.
- Preparation. If proceeding, a small amount of enamel may be removed to accommodate the veneer.
- Fabrication. Custom veneers are created in a dental laboratory.
- Placement. The veneers are bonded to your teeth, then checked for fit, bite and finish.
How Long the Treatment Takes
Most veneer cases are completed within a few visits. The timeline depends on the number of teeth treated and the material, since lab-crafted veneers need fabrication time between visits. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time.
How to Prepare for Your Visit
- Bring photos of the smile you are aiming for. A picture plans better than a description.
- Tell your dentist if you grind or clench your teeth, or if any tooth is already sensitive.
- Expect any preparatory treatment, such as cleaning or gum care, to come first.
- Ask about the schedule at the consultation, so the gap between visits fits your calendar.

At our Makati and BGC branches, veneers run about ₱7,000 to ₱25,000 per tooth, depending on the type: composite, zirconia-reinforced composite, Emax porcelain or porcelain fused to zirconia. Composite is the entry point, from about ₱7,000 per tooth.

Veneers, Whitening or Aligners
These answer different problems.
- Whitening changes color only, so it is the smaller option when the shape is already good.
- Orthodontic treatment, with braces or ON Aligners, moves the teeth themselves. Where the concern is position rather than surface, moving a healthy tooth is usually preferable to covering it.
- Veneers change color, shape, size and length together, which suits a makeover addressing several things at once.

Aftercare, and How Long Veneers Last
Maintain standard oral hygiene practices, including brushing and flossing. Avoid biting on hard objects like ice or using your teeth as tools. Regular dental check-ups are recommended.
Lifespan depends on the material, your bite and your habits, and any veneer may eventually need repair or replacement.
